What are your views on PR sculpting? Useful and recommended? or unethical?
Actually, it is not unethical, as their stuff on the website, one is allowed to handle how PR flows within your site. But, to be honest, it's not the first thing one would rely on. Instead, one must focus on getting more links, having higher quality content. Still, if one has certain amount for PR, they can scope for PageRank.
It is not necessary to do it with a no follow tag, still one can put a no follow on a login page or something that is customized, where a robot will never log in.
An effective form of PR is to choose which things to link from your homepage. For an instance, if you have two different pages, in which one product gets you a lot of money every time when someone buys, where an another product gets you less. One should highlight this page and ensure that it gets enough PR. So one has to link such kind of page from the homepage.
