Should we have more or less content on a homepage?
Certainly, difference in opinion happens depending on the situation. It is not recommended to have a homepage which has 20 megabytes, as it will take long time to load. The users who have a dial-up or a modem or slow
connection, they will start to hesitate you.
Well, if one has more
content on a home page, there is more text for Googlebot to find. So, instead of pictures, it is recommended to have pictures and captions together, a little bit of textual details can really go a long way. So move in a particular direction, towards a little more content when possible.
